Specific Matters for Discussion:

New Business

  • Richland County Zoning Ideas- Motion by Rossing to have the county continue to work with inspectors for Akan
    Township.
  • Meeting notices back in paper?- Couple of people wanted to put the meeting notice back in the paper.
Board discussion we will laminate and put hours out by pole by garbage information.
  • New website/emails? Laeseke said that WI Elections Commission would like us to have.gov emails and
there is some funding there now. Laeseke also mentioned maybe going with a different website for more
    historical information.

    Old Business
  • Bridge update- Kathy met with county & engineer recently. Kinney Lane private driveway field and abandon
houses. Engineer wanted to put in a regular bridge and it would cost a bit, recommend trying to vacate that road
and bridge. Bridge on Shady might cost $400,000 to $500,000. Could knock bridge down and have a Dead End
Road sign recommended by engineer, would need a turn around. Rossing questioned why we aren’t handling the
bridges ourselves instead of working with County, Rossing also wondered where our road ends on Kinney Lane and
if it is before the bridge. Kathy is going to call Jewell Associates and see what they think about the bridges and
possibly assist us in application for a grant. Laeseke will send out a letter to Knapps Creek LLC about the bridge on
Kinney Lane, Jon will talk to them.
  • Violet Drive guy with garbage by roadside- Maly spoke to the county policy and they were going to
talk to the owner for cleanup. Discussed possible ordinance.
  • Gingerich Fence- After some run around the fence was completed by Perkins.

    Under specific matters for discussion
    a) Roads Report- Maly said she wants Kevin out at least 2 days a week and doesn’t think it has been. He was working at Red Wing this week.
    b) Recycling Report
    c) Buildings Report
    d) Ambulance Report
    e) Fire Report- Can get $200 from county if catches fire. There also might be something where we can
    collect $500 from the state.

Public comments and suggestions from residents of the town and other persons present. – Dave Barsi would like to know if we can get a road sign up for Bullsnake Lane.

Adjourned at 8:23 pm by Kathy Maly and Jon Rossing.
